Dr Petros Chamakiotis
University of Sussex Lecturer in Information Systems
Brighton, United Kingdom
I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Information Systems at the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK.
My research seeks to understand how information and communication technologies (ICTs) transform organizations and societies. Within organizations, I look at new, prevalent configurations — such as virtual teams, cloud computing, and online learning environments — and examine their implications for traditional management practices. In this field, I have looked at creativity, innovation, and leadership.
Outside organizations, much of my research emanates from my involvement in the Digital Brain Switch project which looks at how ICTs influence transitions between work-life boundaries. Presently, I am working (with colleagues) on the following topics: work-life boundaries, connectivity, and role transitions.
