Guillermo Rodriguez-Abitia
Guillermo Rodríguez-Abitia holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems by the University of Texas at Arlington. He has more than 35 years of academic experience in various institutions. He has served as Editorial Board Member for several journals, including his roles as Associate Editor for Communications of the AIS (CAIS), Senior Editor for Database for Advances in Information Systems, and founding board member of The Latin American and Caribbean Journal of the AIS (RELCASI). His research interests include innovation, digital transformation, strategic use of IT, IT and education, and cross-cultural issues of IT. He has been an active participant, and board member in academic and professional associations. In AIS, he was founding president of the Latin American and Caribbean chapter (LACAIS), member of the AIS council as both AMCIS and region 1 representative (the Americas), and twice co-chair of the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). He is the Director for Innovation and Technology Development at the General IT Direction of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
